Walsh stopped supporting his software sometime around 1998, but it is still one of the most simple and easy to read hydraulic calculation programs available.

Best of all, it is free. Click Walsh Calculations to download.

Remember, it is NOT supported by anyone. It must be installed to the C: drive, and it may not work on a 64 bit operating system.

Finally you have a use for that old computer that no one wants.

Fire Sprinkler System Designers are welcome to use my simple tools. The tools are in an Excel file that you can download here:

Sprinkler Tools

The tools allow you to easily calculate roof slope, calculate flow from a hydrant flow test, determine the burst temperature for Firefighter antifreeze, and calculate remote area and number of heads for Quick Response sprinklers.

Comments and suggestions for improvement are welcome.

Rory Goff has been certified at level 3 by NICET, and has a BA from Marlboro College and an MBA from Babson College.
All projects are designed under his direct supervision in order to provide the highest quality service and product.
We work in the AutoCad environment using HydraCad sprinkler system software by Hydra Tech.

Rory Goff, Principal, has more than 20 years experience in all aspects of fire sprinkler design and installation. He has designed systems for everything from his own house, to high rise hotels, to aircraft hangers, to nationally historic structures. He has lectured the Vermont and New Hampshire Fire Marshals Office, and has taught fire protection to New Hampshire firefighters.
